In August 2024, we had the pleasure to host Jacek "Jack" Waliszewski, a Green Beret and author, at our booth in Knoxville, TN. Jack was fortunate to find the original memoirs of two agents who had executed a covert mission during WW2 in Europe. The Office of Strategic Services (OSS) is the predecessor of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and was responsible for many secretive operations deep behind enemy lines. Code Name Spike was one of these daring missions in South Europe in 1944 when the team of Spike parachuted during a pitch-black night into Yugoslavia. Two teams before Spike infiltrated this war-torn country, where different ethnicities fought each other supported by different proxies.
American technological advances ensured that partisans had a chance to survive. The OSS Stinger, the first known secretive pen gun, helped American secret agents convince locals not to give up and believe in American weapon superiority. Listen to Chief Jack discuss his book and why freedom and the right to bear arms are so important.
